Government Institutions: come work with us!

Building the future of our food system together

In a world with growing food issues, change is necessary. Climate change, the loss of biodiversity and health issues require further development towards a more sustainable food system. Foodvalley is working with more than 500 international partners on practical solutions that have an impact not only locally, but globally.

Although Foodvalley is firmly rooted in Gelderland and the Foodvalley region, we work with people and organisations worldwide. We contribute to global targets such as combating food waste and CO₂ reduction, working together with all those who want to realise our common vision.

Working together for sustainable impact

We accelerate the adoption of impactful solutions by fostering collaborations that tackle societal challenges. Leveraging our 20-year network of stakeholders—from farmers to multinationals—we drive practical, real-world innovations for a sustainable food system and broader prosperity. Our focus is on immediate, tangible impact, not distant visions or long-term R&D.

“We invite government institutions at every level to be part of this unique network of collaborating companies and organisations. Together, we focus on accelerating innovations and continuing to develop a more sustainable food system.

– Guido Laman, Foodvalley

Working together for the public good

We deal with challenges that market players cannot solve alone and where public-private collaboration is essential. Always on the basis of the public interest, never in terms of individual commercial interests. We have carefully built up that trust and good reputation over twenty years. Public support is indispensable to continue doing our work independently and make a lasting impact. We work closely with, among others, Startlife, Wageningen University & Research, InvestNL, Transition Coalition Voedsel and Regionale Ontwikkelingsmaatschappijen.

Practical results: from idea to impact

We are an independent organisation

As an independent, not-for-profit foundation established in 2004, we are funded by government institutions, companies, knowledge institutions and philanthropic organisations. We work exclusively on the basis of our mission and vision, strengthening the sustainable transition with support from partners such as EIT Food, the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature, Netherlands Enterprise Agency and several provincial authorities. This approach enables us to contribute not only to a more sustainable food system but also to the broad economic ambitions of the region and government institutions. A strong climate of innovation means a strong future for businesses, residents and society as a whole.
