The Regenerative Agriculture Community takes off
We’re excited to announce that in 2024 we started building the Regenerative Agriculture Community with two inspiring sessions. These gatherings brought together passionate professionals dedicated to sustainable agriculture and rebuilding healthy ecosystems.
First Info Session
Our first online Community Info Session in November welcomed 58 attendees. In this session the Regenerative Innovation Portfolio was explained in-depth, looking into both the landscape level projects and the community itself. A big thank you to Viktoria de Bourbon de Parme from EIT Food for her inspiring introduction to the growing momentum in regenerative agriculture and the value-driven role of the Portfolio in scaling this movement.
We explored our attendees’ diverse backgrounds and hosted a lively Q&A, discussing regenerative practices, the role of retailers, and the challenges that lie ahead. Your insights – captured in our interactive word cloud – will shape future sessions.

Workshop Foodvalley Partner Event
We built on this energy during the Foodvalley Partner Event in December, where a dynamic 45-minute breakout session engaged over 40 professionals from agrifood, technology, innovation, and public sectors. The discussions underscored the importance of public–private cooperation and collaboration in regenerative agriculture.
Key Takeaways from our discussions:
- Farmers’ Voices Matter: Farmers are central to this transition. Hearing their stories, like Geert Lindenhols’ journey toward regenerative cropping, deepened our understanding. Geert is the owner of GeertsBest farm in the Netherlands.
- Collaboration is Essential: We need to shift from initiatives pioneering on their own to collaborative action at scale to be able to derisk the actors transitioning to regenerative agriculture and to valorise ecosystem services.
- Everyone has a role to play – from farm to fork. No farmer can transition in isolation.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined, contributed, and made these events possible.
