Participate in Expo 2025 Osaka

In 2025, the World Expo will take place in Osaka, Japan. The World Expo is organized every five years and in 2025, its theme will be “Designing future society for our lives.” Within the Dutch pavilion, from June 5-16, 2025, there will be a focus on the theme “Sustainable production and consumption of alternative proteins and healthy food.” The healthy food track will extensively cover Functional Foods and Personalised Nutrition. This presents a fantastic opportunity for companies and knowledge institutions to initiate or strengthen international collaboration with Japan on these themes.
The Regional Development Agency Oost NL is coordinating this national track in close cooperation with other regional development agencies, RVO, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, and the LNV council of the Dutch embassy in Japan.
Mission to Japan in June 2025 Around the Expo 2025 participation, a mission will be organized focusing on the themes of alternative proteins and healthy food. Within the healthy food theme, there will be attention to Functional Foods and Personalised Nutrition. There are opportunities for giving a substantive presentation or being part of a panel or roundtable discussion. In addition to contributing to the World Expo in Japan, various company visits, and matchmaking activities will be organized during the mission in collaboration with the Dutch embassy in Japan.
RVO Subsidies for entrepreneurs looking to enter the international market, several subsidies are available to facilitate this. These include subsidies for demonstrating your product in Japan, for example. Please contact RVO for the conditions.
For whom?
Oost NL is looking for companies and organizations interested in long-term collaboration with Japan based on, among other things, Functional Foods and Personalised Nutrition. The costs associated with the mission and the expo are limited to travel and accommodation expenses.
