Purpose of the map
The Regenerative Agriculture Transition Map is developed to:
- create visibility of regenerative agriculture initiatives, landscapes/bioregions (big and small) and (enabling) actors across Europe;
- connect landscapes/bioregions with the wider regenerative agriculture ecosystem, including test farms and supporting initiatives;
- support matchmaking between relevant stakeholders across regions, commodities and value chains;
- strengthen understanding of how initiatives relate to one another;
enable more effective collaboration to accelerate the regenerative transition at scale.
By bringing together key stakeholders across regions, commodities and value chains, the map is designed to enable matchmaking, collaboration and scale-up, helping partners move beyond individual projects toward coordinated impact across Europe.

Positioning within the broader mapping landscape
Complementary mapping initiatives are also taking shape. We work with many ecosystem partners in development of the map and reuse maps and collaborate and/or link to complementary mapping like the OP2B Regeneration Map, developed by the One Planet Business for Biodiversity (OP2B) coalition.
This map focuses specifically on landscape-level regenerative, conservation and restoration projects, with the aim of facilitating matchmaking between the OP2B partner companies, suppliers and project implementers within specific landscapes.
Foodvalley’s Regenerative Agriculture Transition Map builds on and complements such efforts by going beyond landscapes. It connects landscapes with the wider regenerative agriculture ecosystem, including testfarms, creating a shared overview that helps stakeholders find relevant partners, understand how initiatives interconnect, and collaborate more effectively to accelerate the regenerative transition at scale across Europe.
