Food-ScalEUp consortium maps agrifood digital ecosystems

News

01 July 2023

Foodvalley NL and nine European organisations have joined forces to analyse their agrifood digital acceleration ecosystems as part of the EU-funded Food-scalEUp project.

The Food-scalEUp consortium has recently mapped acceleration ecosystems relevant to European agrifood companies at different levels of involvement (roles in acceleration, types of structure, vertical/horizontal approach, etc.). About 700 actors in The Netherlands, Spain, Hungary, France and Germany were surveyed.

The ecosystem map is the first step towards a large-scale Food-scalEUp acceleration network of leading companies and relevant programmes. This directory will become available on the Food-scalEUp website.

The consortium also surveyed 70 European start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs to gain insights on improving acceleration services, such as building valuable partnerships and tailor-made support.

All companies consulted have been beneficiaries of acceleration services in the last three years and were focused on developing food and digital solutions.
