Four subsidy routes to explore. Tip: always start with your ambition, not with a scheme. Epiic explains why.
Technological – WBSO
The WBSO compensates part of your wage costs for technically new products and processes. Recipe development alone is generally not eligible. Technical bottlenecks are, such as the behavior of protein fractions or scaling up extraction.
Sustainability – STUDI, DEI+ or VEKI
With STUDI, you can finance a feasibility study (up to 70% for small businesses). DEI+ follows for pilots, or VEKI for proven techniques.
Social – SLIM, Praktijkleren and SOWIS
SLIM supports learning and development. Praktijkleren reimburses the supervision of students and SOWIS the supervision of status holders (refugees with a residence permit). There are fixed application periods, so plan ahead.
International – EIT Food and Interreg
EIT Food funds and supports, among other things, pilots by agrifood startups with a business partner. Interreg supports cross-border projects, including with Germany.
